Face masks can treat acne well. These acne breakouts are quite embarrassing and sometimes it becomes impossible to tackle it. You tend to lose shine and glow on your face due to acne. Applying different expensive cosmetics to get rid of acne problem can be futile in most of the cases. When nothing seems to work for you then you may try making your own homemade face mask for acne. These face masks are quite easy to prepare and very easy on your pocket too. Here are some of the face mask recipes which you can try at your home.

1) Honey and Cinnamon Face Mask for Acne
Honey is a good anti-microbial agent. It is a natural anti-biotic. Cinnamon has anti-microbial properties too. So, combining both of them can be really effective for your skin condition. It will treat your skin from inside. Those bacteria and germs can be killed easily by this face mask. For making this mask, take two tablespoons of honey and one tablespoon of cinnamon. Mix them well. Apply this mixture on a clean face. Leave it to dry off for 10-15 minutes. Wash your face with plain water. This mixture is sticky so rinse your face well. Use paper towels to pat dry your face. This is a great homemade face mask for acne.

2) Aloe Vera and Honey Face Mask for Acne
Aloe Vera is a well-known natural remedy to cure skin problems due to its anti-inflammatory and soothing properties. Honey can kill bacteria lying on your skin. Combination of both of them can be beneficial for curing acne. For making your face mask, take one tablespoon of aloe vera gel and four tablespoons of honey in a bowl. Mix them well. Apply on your face using your fingers. Leave the area around your eyes. Let it sit for 20 minutes. Rinse well your face with warm water. Pat dry your skin. Repeat it twice a week.

3) Milk/Yogurt and Honey Face Mask for Acne
Milk and yogurt can cure your acne as they have soothing properties in them. They can reduce visible redness in skin, improves skin tone and limit the number of breakouts. Honey kills all bacteria living in your skin. For preparing this mask, take equal proportions of milk/yogurt and honey. Mix them well in a bowl. Using a cotton ball, apply this mixture on your face. Let it dry for 15-20 minutes. Wash your face with plain water. Take a washcloth and rub gently in a circular motion. Dead skin cells will come out.


4) Egg White Mask for Acne-Prone Skin
Egg whites are very helpful in curing acne and fading its scars. Proteins and vitamins present in egg can improve your skin health and help in developing new cells. They can remove excess oil from your skin and prevent your skin pores from clogging. For making a mask, separate egg whites from yolks of 2-3 eggs. Beat it in a bowl till it becomes frothy. Apply this froth on a clean face. Keep applying 4-5 layers of it on your face. Let it dry for 20 minutes. Wash your face with water and pat dry your face. Repeat twice a week. This is an effective homemade face mask for acne.
